As part of the new Participant Financial Success (PFS) organization within the Workplace Solutions (VWS) division, it’s an exciting time to be on the Participant Consulting & Education (PC&E) team as we’re growing quickly and investing in our infrastructure as we strive to help even more participants. PC&E is made up of advisors and consultants who’s work directly ties to top-line OKRs around driving participant actions and building lifelong Vanguard relationships. This role is a key part of building frontline consulting excellence across PC&E by coaching advisors and consultants to deepen their expertise in retirement plans and financial well-being solutions and generate referral-based leads across multiple channels, including the VWS Contact Center, PC&E and Personal Wealth. The role focuses on strengthening product fluency, consultative engagement skills, and readiness to support new offers and capabilities in a participant-centered way. The chosen crew member will partner closely with business leaders to identify coaching needs, elevate frontline performance, and reinforce a consultative engagement model that helps advisors and consultants uncover participant needs and position solutions aligned to their objectives and timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Coaches frontline advisors, consultants and service reps to deepen their knowledge of retirement plans and financial well-being solutions, generate referral-based leads while building confidence and expertise in participant-facing conversations.

  • Develops and delivers coaching focused on the appropriate positioning of key products and solutions, including advice, Cash Plus, brokerage, IRAs, and ETFs, while preparing crew to confidently support new offers, tools, and capabilities.

  • Reinforces a consultative engagement model that enables crew to identify participant needs, referral opportunities, and appropriately position solutions that align to each participant’s goals, objectives, and timelines.

  • Provides targeted coaching through observation, feedback, and reinforcement, using performance and data insights to improve consultative behaviors, product fluency, and sales effectiveness.

  • Partners with leaders to anticipate capability gaps and align coaching to business priorities, product launches, and moments of change across the frontline organization.

  • Advances scalable coaching practices, tools, and routines that help frontline crew continuously build expertise in retirement solutions, financial well-being offerings, and participant-centered engagement.

  • Role will require travel, with the possibility of direct participant and plan sponsor engagement.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Five years’ related experience.

  • Three years of coaching, sales, or frontline enablement experience preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

  • This job requires series 7, 63, 65/66 regulatory licenses and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC).
